Problems downloading files. – April 23, 2004

Alex Schmid reports that he could not download. Here is how he fixed it.

The problems were/are:
1; The firewall of Norton Internet Security
2; In Opera the Option "Referer logging enabled" has to be activated

As soon as the Firewall of Norton Internet Security is deactivated downloads are possible. With activated Firewall, any link to a downloadable file leads back to the archive index.

Also, I have found that if you have the accepting of cookies disabled, you may not be able to download files.

I will post other solutions as people report them.
