Dynamics Control: That is, circuits that control analog audio signale to either increase or decrease the dynamic range. This includes limiters and compressors. Basically circuits where the level of a signal is controlled through some sort of automatic means.

Gain Control: Circuits to vary the level of an analog signal manually. The control means may be digital or analog. The control may either be remote or local. By potentiometers, push buttons or a DC voltage.
